Rare Villanovan/Etruscan Impasto Ware Dish, 850-800 BC

Stemmed dish with a shallow floor ending in an indistinct, slightly rounded lip. The flared foot hollow underneath.

Rare shape. For a similar example, cf. the find deposit of Tomb 179, Poggio Selciatello (Tarquinia), p. 61 in: Mario Torelli. The Etruscans. London 2001.

Intact and fine. Several chips out of the base of the dish. Much use of the modeling tool.
